This license is designed for business-to-business relationships and provides the necessary access to Salesforce's features such as opportunities, leads, and accounts relevant to partners. Customer Community licenses are more limited and usually cater to B2C scenarios, while Sales Cloud is for internal sales teams rather than external distributors. Therefore, Partner Community is the appropriate choice.

For large-scale role hierarchy realignments, Salesforce can enable granular locking. This advanced tool allows for the efficient management of role hierarchy changes by preventing related records and processes from being locked unnecessarily during realignments. Granular locking helps ensure that the realignment process is seamless and minimizes disruptions to users.

When the first external user is created on a partner account, a default role hierarchy is established with three roles: Partner Executive, Partner Manager, and Partner User. This structure is designed to manage access and permissions within the partner account. The creation of these three roles happens automatically to provide a foundation for role-based access control.

The Finance team member can access Account and Contact records due to implicit sharing rules. Accounts can be accessed implicitly via Opportunities they own or can view because Opportunities are always associated with an Account. Similarly, Contact records can be accessed implicitly through the Account they are related to. Hence, implicit sharing from Opportunities provides access to both Account (option C) and Contact (option A) records.
