Managing Microsoft Teams

To ensure that users within your company can collaborate with users in a partner company using Microsoft Teams, while also making sure that guest accounts cannot invite other guests, you need to configure the external collaboration settings in Azure Active Directory. This setting allows you to control guest access permissions and ensure that only users in the partner company can be granted access to collaborate via Microsoft Teams, fulfilling the specified requirements.

To configure Microsoft Teams to prevent guest users from using their cameras during meetings while allowing company users to do so, you should adjust the Guest access settings. Within the Microsoft Teams Admin Center, you can access the Guest access settings under Org-wide settings and disable the 'Allow IP video' option. This setting specifically targets guest users and aligns with the company's security policy without affecting the camera privileges of internal users.

To prevent a single user from permanently deleting private chats, you need to configure a litigation hold on the user's mailbox. Private chats in Microsoft Teams are stored in the user's mailbox, and applying a litigation hold ensures that these chats cannot be permanently deleted. This hold preserves the data, including chat messages, in the user's mailbox, making it discoverable for compliance and legal purposes. None of the other options address the specific requirement of preventing the permanent deletion of private chats.

To label the Research team as Confidential in Microsoft Teams, you need to configure and publish a Sensitivity Label in the Security & Compliance admin center. Sensitivity labels in Microsoft 365 allow administrators to classify and protect content. Once you create and publish a Sensitivity Label, you can apply it to teams in Microsoft Teams to indicate confidentiality and enforce specific policies related to access and usage.

To ensure that users in the Research team can only communicate with other users in the Research team, you need to configure Information Barrier policies. Information Barriers allow organizations to create policies that restrict communication and collaboration between specified groups of users. By setting up an Information Barrier policy, you can limit the Research team to communicate only within their team, thus meeting the requirement.
