If your job involves designing large-scale systems, the SnowPro Advanced Architect tests your ability to map business requirements to data architecture. You must know how to build secure, compliant data flows from source to consumption. The exam expects you to choose the right third-party integration tools and deploy shared data collections via the Snowflake Data Marketplace.

Data professionals tasked with moving and transforming information often pursue the SnowPro Advanced Data Engineer. This exam covers gathering data from APIs, data lakes, and on-premises sources. You must know how to process this information and create near-real-time streams using features like Snowpipe and task scheduling.

It tests practical data engineering principles, such as scaling compute resources for heavy workloads and assessing performance metrics.

For those managing the platform's day-to-day operations, the SnowPro Advanced Administrator ADA-C01 validates operational skills. Administrators must manage database objects, configure data governance policies, and oversee disaster recovery. The ADA-C01 exam requires deep knowledge of role-based access control, data masking, and virtual warehouse tuning.

Keeping Skills Current

Cloud platforms change rapidly, and certification programs update their exams to match new feature releases. Snowflake credentials remain valid for two years.

Rather than taking the full initial exam again, you can maintain your active status by passing the SnowPro Core Recertification (COF-R02). This exam refreshes your credential for another two years.
