HPE0-V14 Exam - Question 38

A customer needs a virtual desktop infrastructure environment to quickly deploy new desktop images to more than 70 onsite contractors. They plan to use HPE

ProLiant DL360 Gen10 servers running VMware ESXi connected to a shared storage device. The customer requires deduplication because they are concerned about the required storage capacity for the full clone images.

Which storage device would best address their concerns?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: C

The customer requires deduplication capability to manage storage capacity efficiently when deploying new desktop images. Among the options provided, the HPE Nimble AF20 is the best choice because it supports deduplication features necessary for the customer's needs. Other options, particularly the HPE Nimble HF20C, do not support deduplication, making them less suitable for this specific requirement.

The correct anwser must be C, because HF20C does not support dedup.

5 Deduplication currently supported on HF20H, HF20, HF40, and HF60; the HF20C, HF40C, and HF60C does not support dedupe and is capacity optimized to scale to over 1PB.

Thanks: https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/GetPDF.aspx/a00008274enw.pdf Deduplication currently supported on HF20H, HF20, HF40, and HF60; the HF20C, HF40C, and is capacity optimized to scale to over 1PB.

consensus below, AF20 only one with dedupe (needed more on all flash - expensive storage).

The C is for Compression ONLY (no dedupe)..... better than calling it the -D model i guess

must be C. Deduplication currently supported on HF20H, HF20, HF40, and HF60; the HF20C, HF40C, and HF60C does not support dedupe and are capacity-optimized to scale to over 1PB.

Because if it is the correct one, it is C. Do they change it?

Deduplication currently supported on HF20H, HF20, HF40, and HF60; the HF20C does not support dedupe and is capacity optimized to scale to over 1PB. Deduplication is missing in HPE MSA, so HPE Nimble AF20 is the answer.

MOST BE C, HPE Nimble Storage HF40C array and HF60C array provide higher effective capacity for workloads not requiring deduplication.

HF20C supports compression, not deduplication. So C answer for me

Only AF20 supports dedupe. ("dedupe is not supported on HF20C" is the text in the book)
