Managing Projects and Agile Teams
Project management remains one of GAQM's most popular domains, providing alternatives to other well-known industry credentials. The exams focus heavily on practical application and coherent project lifecycles.
For professionals entering the field, the APM-001 (Associate in Project Management) serves as a baseline. The exam tests your grasp of project planning, execution, risk management, and budgeting. Candidates face 50 multiple-choice questions and must achieve an 80 percent score to pass. You have 60 minutes to complete the test.
In Agile environments, the CSM-001 (Certified Scrum Master) validates your ability to facilitate Scrum practices. The exam evaluates your understanding of servant leadership, sprint planning, and daily standups. It contains 40 questions and requires a 70 percent score to pass. The test places heavy emphasis on scenario-based decisions, such as how a Scrum Master balances stakeholder demands with a development team's capacity during a sprint.
IT Leadership and Infrastructure
Moving beyond project frameworks, GAQM offers credentials targeting IT operations and physical infrastructure.
The CITM-001 (Certified Information Technology Manager (CITM)) targets professionals transitioning from hands-on technical work into strategic leadership. The 80-question exam avoids testing basic configuration commands. Instead, it tests your ability to manage IT budgets, handle vendor negotiations, and align technology implementations with broader business goals. Employers value this credential because it proves you understand the financial and organizational impact of IT decisions.
For infrastructure specialists, the CDCP-001 (Certified Data Center Professional) measures foundational knowledge of physical facility management. Before you can deploy cloud architectures, someone must manage the physical environment. This 40-question exam covers cooling architectures, fire safety and protection methods, structured cabling strategies, and physical security. Passing requires a 70 percent score.
Process Improvement
GAQM maintains a strong presence in the Lean Six Sigma space. Organizations use these methodologies to reduce waste and improve process efficiency.
The CLSSBB (Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) represents a high-level credential for professionals who lead improvement projects full-time. The exam runs 120 minutes and contains 100 questions. It tests your mastery of the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) model, team dynamics, and specific tools used to identify non-value-added activities. Candidates must score 70 percent to earn the certification, which remains valid for life.
Taking the Exams
GAQM delivers its exams online through an AI-proctored platform. You can take the tests from any location with a stable internet connection and a secure environment.
Unlike some vendor exams that rely heavily on rote memorization of proprietary terms or trick questions, GAQM exams tend to focus on scenario-based reasoning. You will often encounter questions where multiple answers seem plausible, requiring you to select the most appropriate action based on budget constraints, risk factors, or methodology rules.
Test vouchers purchased through the GAQM portal typically include two attempts. If you fail the first time, you can retake the exam using the same voucher. If you pass on the first attempt, the second attempt is voided.
