AZ-301 Exam - Question 155

What should you include in the identity management strategy to support the planned changes?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: B

To support the planned changes in the identity management strategy, deploying domain controllers for corp.fabrikam.com to virtual networks in Azure ensures that directory synchronization between Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and corp.fabrikam.com remains unaffected by any potential link failures between Azure and the on-premises network. Furthermore, it allows users on the on-premises network to authenticate to corp.fabrikam.com even if there is an Internet link failure, by maintaining domain controllers on-premises. This approach balances redundancy and reliability for the identity management system.

What's the difference between deploying your own domain controller vs. Domain Services?

Basically deploying your own domain controller requires using a Virtual Machine. First create a VM and then install AD DC services on it. While Domain Services are a direct Service from Azure, where you give domain details and the domain service is automatically created without the use of installing a VM.
