Which feature must be enabled to configure vSphere Proactive HA?
To configure vSphere Proactive HA, it is necessary to enable vSphere DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler). DRS is essential as it allows for the management of resources across hosts in a cluster, which is a foundational requirement for Proactive HA to function properly. Without DRS, Proactive HA cannot perform the necessary proactive migrations to prevent issues.
To configure vSphere Proactive HA, you must enable vSphere DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler).
C is correct - https://www.nakivo.com/blog/vmware-cluster-ha-configuration/#:~:text=Proactive%20HA%20supports%20reacting%20to,DRS%20together%20for%20a%20cluster
Tested on my cluster, and confirmed you can enable Proactive HA without enabling vSphere HA. Secondly, if you turn DRS off, a message appears underneath Proactive HA telling you DRS needs to be enabled , before you can enable Proactive HA. So the answer is C.
Proactive HA supports reacting to issues relating to power supply, fan, storage, memory, and network. You need to enable and configure Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) in a vSphere cluster before you can enable Proactive HA. You can configure vSphere HA and DRS together for a cluster.
To configure vSphere Proactive HA, you must first enable vSphere HA and then turn on Proactive HA to allow proactive migrations of VMs from hosts on which a provider has notified a health degradation1. Here are the steps to enable vSphere HA: Browse to the cluster and enable vSphere HA. Click the Configure tab. Select vSphere Availability and click Edit. Select Turn ON vSphere HA. Select Turn ON Proactive HA to allow proactive migrations of VMs from hosts on which a provider has notified a health degradation
This is incorrect. You can 100% enable Proactive HA without enabling vSphere HA, try it and you'll see. Secondly, if you turn DRS off, a message appears underneath Proactive HA telling you DRS needs to be enabled , before you can enable Predictive HA. So the answer can only be C.
