When deploying a new virtual machine in the vSphere Client, specifying a folder is optional. Folders are used to organize VMs within the infrastructure, but they are not required for the VM creation process. During the deployment steps, a data center, compute resource, and guest OS need to be specified to successfully create a VM.

To execute a batch file on a specific virtual machine, the administrator should choose the 'Run script' option. This action allows for specifying and running scripts, such as batch files, on the target VM when the alarm is triggered. The other options do not support directly running batch files; instead, they serve for notifications or executing commands in different contexts.

To ensure that a virtual machine consistently receives the necessary resources even when the host is overloaded or overcommitted, the administrator needs to configure CPU and Memory Reservations. This setting guarantees that a specific amount of CPU and memory resources are always available for the virtual machine, regardless of other resource demands on the host. The reservations ensure that the virtual machine has a dedicated minimum allocation, thus maintaining its performance under all conditions.

User 1 has read-only privileges to all objects in the Production folder. The exhibit shows that User 1 has a Read-Only Role on the Training folder (which includes the Production folder) with the role propagated to children. This means that all objects within the Training folder, including the Production folder and its VMs, will inherit the read-only privileges. Thus, User 1 can only view but not modify or manage these objects. Therefore, User 1 has read-only privileges to all objects in the Production folder.

vSphere supports the NFS (Network File System) protocol for storage. NFS is used to store virtual machine disk files on a remote server, providing centralized storage for virtual machines. The other options like SMB, CIFS, and FTP are primarily used for file sharing and transfer, not for storage in a vSphere environment.
