A customer needs a wired network solution that can recognize and prioritize a wide array of different types of traffic, including casual Web browsing, voice, video,

SAP Online, and file sharing.

The architect needs to choose between the Aruba 2930F or the 2540 Switch Series for the access layer switch. Why would the architect choose the 2930F rather than the 2540 Switch Series for this customer?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: C

The 2930F Series supports more options for class-based QoS (Quality of Service) policies compared to the 2540 Series. This feature is crucial for recognizing and prioritizing various types of traffic, such as casual Web browsing, voice, video, SAP Online, and file sharing, ensuring a more flexible and efficient traffic management system suitable for the customer's needs.

Answer C - from the course manual .... The Aruba 2540 and 2530 series do have a slightly less powerful feature set. Limitations include no class-based policies. These switches can still classify traffic based on Layer 2 to 4 information; however, they cannot do so as flexibly as the other switches.
