HPE6-A47 Exam - Question 29

An architect needs to plan a very high density (VHD) wireless network at a large events venue, at which thousands of attendees are expected. The architect plans to deploy a cluster of Mobility Controllers (MCs) to control the APs. It is important to support seamless roaming for wireless devise across the venue.

What should the architect ensure for the network services?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: D

In a very high-density wireless network, it is critical to have carrier-grade DHCP and DNS servers that can handle a large number of transactions quickly. These servers must support low transaction times to ensure efficient IP address allocation and domain name resolution, which are crucial for seamless roaming across the venue. This kind of performance ensures that wireless devices can connect and operate smoothly even with a high volume of users.

D is correct. Straight from the curriculum, and these are guests primarily.

From the course book - Aruba strongly recommends a carrier-grade DHCP/DNS servers, such as Infoblox and lease times should be 2X duration of event (8 hours suggested).

D is correct! Check Step 8 Server Design For the DHCP/DNS servers in a high-density design, the key metric is transaction time, which should be <= 5ms. This is much more critical than transaction rate and should be modeled at 5% of seating capacity over 5 minutes. For example in an 18,000 seat arena × 5%/300 seconds = 3 discovers per second
