The architect should change the v2 modules to v3 modules. The 5400R zl2 switches require v3 modules for proper operation when used in a VSF (Virtual Switching Framework) fabric. When VSF is enabled, the switch enforces v3 only mode, which means that any v2 modules currently installed will be disabled. Therefore, the proposed setup must include v3 modules instead of v2 to ensure all components are compatible and operational.
B For 5400R zl2 switches, the VSF fabric must use only v3 modules – both for VSF and other links. The switch must operate in v3 only mode. In fact, when you enable VSF on the switch, it automatically changes to v3 only mode, disabling any v2 modules installed in the switch.
