HPE0-V14 Exam - Question 78

A customer needs to move from their traditional tape-based backup infrastructure to a standalone application to disk based backup solution using HPE StoreOnce.

The environment does not use a hypervisor.

The customer has the following goals for their long-term backup retention:

✑ retain data for over two years at low cost

✑ data is archival and rarely accessed, if ever

Which HPE StoreOnce components can help meet the customer goals in the most cost effective manner? (Choose three.)

Show Answer
Correct Answer: ABE

To meet the customer's goals of low-cost long-term backup retention with archival data that is rarely accessed, the most appropriate HPE StoreOnce components would include: HPE StoreOnce 35xx, HPE StoreOnce Cloud Bank Storage license, and HPE StoreOnce VSA. The HPE StoreOnce 35xx series provides efficient disk-based backup and integrates well within their environment. The HPE StoreOnce Cloud Bank Storage license allows for cost-effective archival storage solutions using cloud services while maintaining compatibility with HPE StoreOnce systems. Despite the lack of a hypervisor, HPE StoreOnce VSA (Virtual Storage Appliance) can still be considered as a scalable and flexible backup solution operating independently of physical infrastructure.

Answer should be B,C,D. We are told there is no virtual infrastructure so VSA is eliminated. also there is no 35xx series for storeonce

There is 35xx series for storeonce. ABD sounds good for me

no license for catalyst replication. I would go for A,B,D

The same for me

I will change my answer to ABC. Ill explain why. D cannot be an correct answer since question ask "Which HPE StoreOnce component can help..." and Microsoft Azure and Amazon S3 are not StoeOnce components. Also there is explanation for Catalyst replication license: A StoreOnce Catalyst license is required for each appliance that will host Catalyst Stores. The license enables backup and copy to Catalyst Stores on the appliance.• The license is locked to the appliance and cannot be transferred to another appliance.• There is no need to purchase a replication license when using StoreOnce Catalyst Copy. However, if VTL or NAS replication is configured on the same appliance, a replication license will be required for each target appliance. •Every StoreOnce system (and 6600 couplet) that uses StoreOnce Catalyst requires a license •StoreOnce Catalyst also provides seamless control of data movement across the organization and better utilization of servers, network bandwidth.

addigate Storeonce 35xx can be 3540, or 3520 etc. Catalyst replication, if they mean on storeonce replication is enterprise sollution which cost alot and it is for storeonce 4xxx and 6000 sollutions. VSA not considered since there is no virtualisation. So it left only ABD.

There is no catalyst replication at all

My best guess via process of elimination is A B and E, which are all of the HPE StoreOnce solutions. Per Study Guide pg222 Catalyst Copy does not require a replication license where the target of replication requires a replication license for NAS and VTL replication. Referencing Study Guide pages 256-257, Azure Cloud has no mention of StoreOnce products and is meant for VM or hypervisor environments, which the question states that the client does not use Hypervisor.
