Question 15

Scenario: A Citrix Architect needs to design a new XenApp and XenDesktop environment.

The table in the Exhibit lists details about the requirements of the current user groups and their Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) machine workloads.

Click the Exhibit button to view the table.

The architect should scale the hardware used to host the VMs for User Group 1 to ______ cores. (Choose the correct option to complete the sentence.)

    Correct Answer: E

To determine the appropriate number of cores required, we need to calculate the total number of virtual CPUs (vCPUs) and then adjust for the CPU overcommitment ratio. User Group 1 uses 16 VMs per host with 6 vCPUs each, resulting in a total of 96 vCPUs per host (16 VMs * 6 vCPUs each = 96 vCPUs). With an overcommitment ratio of 1.5:1, we divide the total number of vCPUs by 1.5 to find the number of physical cores required. This results in 64 physical cores (96 vCPUs / 1.5 = 64 cores). Therefore, the hardware should be scaled to 64 cores.

Discussion
tripatpdOption: E

The answer is E. 6*16=96 v CPU With an over commitment ratio of 1.5:1 this makes 64 Calculation: 96/1.5=64

The answer is E. 6*16=96vCPU With an overcommitment ratio of 1,5 this makes 64 Calculation: 96/1,5=64

I think it is a typo, shouldn't this be 1,5:1?

thedelphOption: E

Assuming it's a typo. I'd go with E. 6 x 16 = 96 96 / 1.5 = 64

Can someone explain wat ratio x:x:x means (1:5:1). I know that 5:1 means 5 virtual cores per physical core, but what means 1:5:1?
