Question 49

Which three selections are capabilities of Network Topology? (Choose three.)

    Correct Answer: B, C, D

Network Topology in NSX provides several capabilities. It allows for the visualization of how different NSX components are interconnected, provides a display of the virtual machines (VMs) connected to segments, and also shows the uplinks configured on the Tier-0 Gateways. These functionalities enable users to understand the network layout, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and manage the network effectively. Displaying the uplinks on Tier-1 Gateways is not a feature as it primarily focuses on the connection between Tier-0 and Tier-1 Gateways rather than showing uplink information for Tier-1.

A vicious question again... What is the signification of "NSX component"... For me a VM isn't a nsx component and we can see this in the segment (answer C). But we can also see the uplink information about T0 and T1 GW. So i think the good answer is ACD. Sure is not E. Saw in the ICM 4.0 : The Network Topology feature enables users to understand how the different NSX networking components are configured and interconnected. This feature displays: • Tier-0 and Tier-1 gateways with their attached segments and workloads • Details for each VM, segment, and Tier-1 and Tier-0 gateways •IP addresses configured in the network • Underlying fabric infrastructure details of the network topology

There is no uplink on Tier-1 Gateways, it's named Router Link Port- interface that provides connectivity between Tier-0 and Tier-1 gateways. THe correct answer is BCD

NSX Components should also mean to show how NSX Manager and Edges are interconnected which is not possible in topology view, hence, I believe that B is not a right answer

new in NSX 4.0: Fabric view - Double-click an object to see the fabric view for that object and the parent object in its logical path. For VMs and Containers, fabric view displays the host cluster name, host transport node details, and the configuration view for the host transport node. For a physical server, fabric view displays details of the host transport node and the configuration view for the node. For a tier-0 and a tier-1 gateway, fabric view displays the distributed router(DR), Edge cluster, Edge nodes where the service router(SR) is realized with HA status of the SR. You can also view configuration details of the edge node where the SR is realized for the gateway. For a tier-0 gateway, the uplink interfaces are also displayed.
