NSX supports three types of DHCP services: Segment DHCP, Gateway DHCP, and DHCP Relay. Segment DHCP is a centrally managed DHCP server that is local to a single segment. Gateway DHCP is also a centrally managed DHCP server but is available to all segments connected to the gateway. DHCP Relay acts as an intermediary, relaying client requests to an external DHCP server. Port DHCP per VNF and VRF DHCP Server are not supported DHCP services in NSX.
