Question 29

A company has a vSphere environment consisting of the following characteristics:

✑ A content library named 'CORP' is published at corporate headquarters on a vCenter Server named 'vcenterCorp'.

A regional data center contains a set of hosts managed by a vCenter Server named vcenterR1.

✑ vcenterR1 subscribes to the CORP content library.

The administrator wants to create a new virtual machine image to use on vcenterR1.

What are two possible ways the administrator can accomplish this task? (Choose two.)

    Correct Answer: A, D

To create a new virtual machine image to use on vcenterR1, the administrator has two viable options. First, by configuring vcenterR1 to download all library content immediately, the new VM image available in the CORP library will be downloaded to vcenterR1, making it available for use. Second, uploading the new image to the CORP library on vcenterCorp will propagate the new image to vcenterR1 through its subscription. Uploading to a subscribed library (B) or a local content library (E) on vcenterR1 is not feasible as those images would not be available to vcenterR1 immediately. Publishing the same CORP content library again (C) does not add any new capability to load images.

i just passed my exam with 500/500 and i sure that D & E is correct, all the questions are worng....

The question states "vcenterR1 subscribes to the CORP content library". You can't upload to a subscribed library. This make "E" incorrect. I'm going with A & D.

This links provides the answer. You have to do a process of elimination but all information is there. Actually had to draw it out on paper to fully understand it: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.vm_admin.doc/GUID-9DE2BD8F-E499-4F1E-956B-67212DE593C6.html#GUID-9DE2BD8F-E499-4F1E-956B-67212DE593C6

[Removed]Options: AE

You can create a subscribed content library to subscribe to a published library and use its contents. You cannot upload or import items into a subscribed library. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.vm_admin.doc/GUID-254B2CE8-20A8-43F0-90E8-3F6776C2C896.html

A E the most logical...

Not A, you have not uploaded the needed image to the library, how are you supposed to use the image then?

D and E

D and E

D: Uploading the image to the Published CL from the >>publishing vCenter<< is possible. E: Uploading the image to a local CL is also an option.

gpldiegoOptions: CD

A, is tricky because is not refering explicitly to VMKernel PortGroups, so its ambiguos. So I chose C and D.

hsezerOptions: DE

I think D&E is correct. In E it says "local content library" so it is possible to create a local one and put the image on it. D is already ok for everybody. Why not A? Because it is already selected during creating a subscribed library to download all content immediately. It must not be selected again.

MohamedZohairOptions: DE

DE is Correct

tcarsteOptions: DE

A is wrong as you don't need "all" content. Even if vcenterR1 had the image, if the library was extremely massive in size, downloading unnecessary images to fix your goal would be a waste of time and resources.

D&E it is

akamoku6Options: AD

I think A&D are correct. You cannot upload or import items into a subscribed library. So E is wrong.

cciejs54321

E is a local library, so E is right

I think A&D are correct
