VMCE_V9 Exam - Question 80

Which of the following is an extension for a full backup file if the Reverse Incremental Backup mode is used?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: CD

The extension for a full backup file when using the Reverse Incremental Backup mode is .vbk. Full backup files are consistently given this extension, regardless of the backup mode employed. The other extensions (.vbr, .vbi, .vrb) are related to different types of backup files or increments, but not full backups.

This is D. Full backup files are always VBK files regardless or forward or reverse.

VRB is for Reverse Incremental Backup, but it contains the incremental changes. The answer is D, because the Full Backup is always a VBK.
