To back up all servers in the accounting department using Veeam Agent for Linux and Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows, it is necessary to create two protection groups, one specifically for Windows agents and another for Linux agents. Then, all servers in the accounting department should be added to the corresponding protection group based on their operating system. By creating a backup job for each protection group, you ensure all servers are backed up properly. This method does not rely on the assumption that all devices are part of an Active Directory, which may not be the case for Linux servers.
I think "A" and "B" are correct, but "A", is more easy and flexible to manage in the long run.
A assumes that all machines are in Active Directory which is a big assumption for Linux Machines (which can be joined but I wouldn't assume they are)
I vote for A
I vote for B
linux and actie directory object??
B is correct. There is no mention that all the servers are in the AD. AD groups cannot be used for non domain joined machines.
