VMCE v12 Exam - Question 89

The administrator of a VMware environment backed up by Veeam Backup & Replication has a critical server that has crashed and will not reboot. They were able to bring it back online quickly using Instant VM Recovery so people could continue to work. What else is required to complete the recovery?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: A

When using Instant VM Recovery in a VMware environment backed up by Veeam Backup & Replication, the virtual machine is temporarily run directly from the backup. To complete the recovery process, it is necessary to migrate the running virtual machine back to the production environment. This step ensures that the virtual machine operates from the primary storage, thus finalizing the recovery and maintaining performance and reliability. Therefore, the correct option is 'Migrate to production'.

They are already working with the VM using Instant Recovery to finish the recovery they have to return that data back to the original VM and for that you have to migrate the data to production so the answer is A.

That is not correct and it would be quite inconvenient, if you could not migrate the Instant Recovery VM to production. https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/instant_recovery_review_vm.html?ver=120#migrate
