While imaging techniques like diaphanography, mammography, and thermography can help in screening and detecting abnormalities, they cannot confirm the presence of cancer cells. A biopsy, which involves the removal and examination of tissue from the suspicious area, is the only procedure that provides a reliable diagnosis by enabling the examination of cells for cancerous changes.
