GRE Section 2 Quantitative Exam - Question 32

104 is not equal to which of the following?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: A

The correct answer is 100,000. The question is related to 10^4, which equals 10,000. Each of the other options can be calculated or simplified to 10,000: 0.1 x 105 equals 10,000, 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 equals 10,000, 102 x 102 equals 10,000, and 10,000 is explicitly given. Therefore, 104 is not equal to 100,000.
