Question 47

In search head clustering, which of the following methods can you use to transfer captaincy to a different member? (Select all that apply.)

    Correct Answer: B, C

To transfer captaincy within a search head cluster, you can either use the Search Head Clustering settings menu in Splunk Web on any member of the cluster, or you can run the 'splunk transfer shcluster-captain' command. The command can be executed from any member of the cluster, not strictly from the current captain or the intended new captain. Therefore, the valid options are using the Splunk Web settings menu, and running the command from any member.
