SPLK-1001 Exam - Question 135

Matching of parentheses is a feature of Splunk Assistant.

Show Answer
Correct Answer: A

Matching of parentheses is not a feature of Splunk Assistant. It is a characteristic of the Splunk search interface itself, which highlights the matching parenthesis when a parenthesis is typed. This feature is independent of whether the Splunk Assistant is enabled or not.

When an end parenthesis is typed, the corresponding beginning parenthesis is automatically highlighted. If a beginning parenthesis cannot be found, nothing is highlighted.

The option for Splunk assistant can be turned on or off, but the matching of parentheses is a feature of the 'Splunk search interface' itself and will work when Splunk assistant is off.
