Snowflake supports three main types of tables: Temporary tables, Transient tables, and Permanent tables. Temporary tables are session-specific and are automatically dropped at the end of the session. Transient tables do not have a fail-safe period, which makes them useful for temporary but persistent data. Permanent tables are standard tables with full data protection features, including fail-safe. These three types cover the different needs for data storage within the Snowflake ecosystem.
