The Daily Scrum is an event in the Scrum framework that is meant primarily for the development team to discuss their progress towards the Sprint Goal and plan their work for the next 24 hours. Management is not required to attend the Daily Scrum. Its purpose is to allow the developers to quickly and effectively synchronize their activities and create a plan for the day. The involvement of management in this meeting would bypass the self-organizing nature of the Scrum team.
