Certified Experience Cloud Consultant Exam - Question 11

No More Homelessness (NMH) is about to create a public site for volunteers where they will be able to sign up for volunteering opportunities at local events. Each registration will result in a record being created for a custom EventRegistration object.

Which three considerations should NMH keep in mind for records created by guest users? (Choose three.)

Show Answer
Correct Answer: ADE

When setting up records created by guest users, it is important to consider assigning queues as owners when possible because this helps manage and segment the records efficiently. Any active user within the organization can be assigned as the default owner for these records, ensuring there is accountability and a line of ownership. Additionally, Experience Cloud provides an option to set the default owner for records created by guest users, facilitating the management and tracking of these records within the platform.

See best practices and considerations for using the guest record default owner: https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.networks_guest_record_default_owner_best_practices.htm&type=5 Not B as queue assignments is based on the object type and configured at the queue level, not based on the creator of the record. Not C. From the doc linked above: "While the new default guest user field is helpful in assigning a record owner to records created by guest users, using the field as the sole way to assign users is not considered a best practice. Set up assignment rules, processes, or triggers to correctly assign records to different users or queues based on object or criteria."

"However, only users with at least read access to the records can actually access them. Ensure that the user chosen as the default owner has at least read access on the records created by guest users."
