Certified CPQ Specialist Exam - Question 157

Universal Containers (UC) sells its Support SKU both as a stand-alone Product and a Product Option within a bundle. When sold as a stand-alone Product, the expected List Unit Price is $1,000. When sold as part of a bundle, UC wants to reduce the List Unit Price to $800.

What should the admin do to meet the requirement?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: CD

To meet the requirement of having a different list unit price for the Support SKU when sold as part of a bundle, the admin should enter 800 into the SBQQ_UnitPrice__c field on the Product Option. This will define a bundle-specific price for Support, reflecting the list unit price accurately. Using the discount field would affect the special price but not the list price, which is why entering the unit price directly into the product option is the correct approach.

SBQQ__Discount__c "A percentage discount that applies to your configured SKU only when it’s part of a bundle." https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.cpq_product_option_fields.htm&type=5

The right answer here is C. Since the desire is to have a list price of 800, then Option Unit price must be used. Option Discount will only be reflected in Special Price

Definitely C. Just tried both option C and D, D doesn't work. Answer is C

C is the right answer. If you use the "Discount" field in product option then the price will be reflected in Special Price, not List Price.
