A
n the PRINCE2 project management methodology, the executive is part of the project board along with the senior user and senior supplier. While the senior user is responsible for specifying the needs of those who will use the project’s products, and the senior supplier represents those designing, developing, facilitating, procuring, and implementing the products, it is ultimately the executive who is accountable for the success of the project. This includes approving changes to forecasts or plans that impact the project’s business case, such as a revised sales forecast.
However, it’s important to note that in practice, these roles can collaborate and make decisions together. But from a responsibility and accountability perspective in PRINCE2, it’s the executive’s role to approve such changes. So, even considering options B and C, option A remains the most appropriate answer.
