Question 595

A project manager led the implementation of an electronic invoicing project that has just been completed. The financial manager communicated that the team discovered three invoices with errors.

Which two documents should the project manager update as soon as possible? (Choose two.)

    Correct Answer: A, D

When errors are discovered in a project deliverable, it is essential to update the Issue Log and the Change Log. The Issue Log is used to document and track issues that arise during the project, such as the three invoices with errors, ensuring they are addressed and resolved appropriately. The Change Log should also be updated to record any necessary changes or corrective measures taken to fix these errors, maintaining a comprehensive record of all changes made to the project.

A&B. and for what its worth, I don't think a "backlog register" is a real thing. The change log is irrelevant because you haven't made any changes.

JYKL88Options: AD

will go with AD. because you dont need to register a risk so quickly. so will go with issue log and change log A. Issue log: The issue log is used to track and manage project issues, including any problems or errors encountered during the project. Updating the issue log with the information about the three invoices with errors will help ensure that the issues are properly recorded and can be addressed and resolved by the appropriate stakeholders. D. Change log: The change log is used to track and document changes made during the project. In this case, the errors in the invoices may require corrective actions or changes to be made. By updating the change log, the project manager can capture the details of the errors and the actions taken to rectify them, providing a comprehensive record of the changes made to address the invoicing errors.

D & E don't make sense. I checked and this question was answered with A & B in the past (https://www.examtopics.com/discussions/pmi/view/62401-exam-pmp-topic-1-question-3415-discussion/)

I think it should be AB. You update the risk Register by removing the realized risk into the issue log.

A. Issue log D. Change log

AYZOptions: DE

Change log because the work is completed already and any change will be considered as change request Backlog because is it considered as issue remaining from a completed project

aishOptions: AD

A. Issue log: The issue log should be updated to record the discovery of the three invoices with errors. This will ensure that the issues are documented and can be tracked for resolution. D. Change log: If the errors in the invoices require corrective actions or changes to be made, the project manager should update the change log to reflect these modifications. This will help in managing the change requests and their impact on the project.

aishOptions: AD

A. Issue log: The issue log should be updated to document the discovery of the invoices with errors and track the actions taken to resolve the issues. D. Change log: The change log should be updated to record any changes made to the project scope, schedule, or budget as a result of the discovery of the invoices with errors.

Why selecting the Risk register if it's already an issue? I think updating the change log makes more sense for providing a record of changes made and when. So A & D. Opinions?

Delab202Options: AD

A. Issue log: This is the central repository for tracking all issues encountered during the project, including their status, resolution plan, and responsible parties. The discovered invoice errors clearly qualify as issues that need to be documented and tracked for resolution. D. Change log: Since the errors represent deviations from the originally planned invoices, they constitute changes to the project deliverables. Recording these changes in the change log helps maintain an accurate history of the project and assess the potential impact on scope, timeline, or budget.

lezginoOptions: AD

A. Issue Log: This document is crucial for tracking and managing issues encountered during the project. Updating the issue log with details about the identified errors in the invoices will ensure that these discrepancies are documented and can be addressed accordingly. D. Change Log: In case the errors in the invoices require modifications, corrections, or any changes to the project deliverables or documents, updating the change log is essential. Any adjustments made to rectify the errors should be documented in the change log for proper tracking and future reference.

dinodragon

D would have been true but the question says which docs need to be updated as soon as possible. Change log would be updated after the change request has been raised. Risk log would be updated and the remediation plan in it would be to create a change request and then it goes into change log. So, my answer is B instead of D

mesacgonOptions: AD

A y D. Registro de pedidos pendientes no hace sentido

certificate988Options: AD

Change log as after issue log, one need to fix it and that will require update in change log. Risk register is not updated for issue already occurred.

I shoose AE

SumboOptions: AB

those are definitely correct

SteAleOptions: BD

BD - It is an issue not a risk. Once the issue log is updated, the PM needs to raise a CR to fix the problem, hence update the change log
