Before incorporating the DevSecOps process, security was typically applied right at the end, after the development ended. This approach often led to vulnerabilities being discovered too late in the development cycle, making them more costly and time-consuming to address. DevSecOps aims to integrate security practices earlier and throughout the software development lifecycle.
