Question 77

Which three are true about Recovery Manager (RMAN) in Oracle Database 19c and later releases? (Choose three.)

    Correct Answer: C, D, F

Oracle RMAN can utilize a Virtual Private Catalog (VPC) in different configurations. A Virtual Private Catalog used to register a container database must be created in a pluggable database. However, it can also be created in a pluggable or non-container database as well. This demonstrates the flexibility of RMAN in managing data across different database architectures. Hence, the correct answers are that a Virtual Private Catalog used to register a container database must be created in a pluggable database, can be created in a pluggable database, and can be created in a non-container database.

It's DEF.

t think DEF

pgtipsOptions: DEF

For me DEF, E sounds more logical over B.

veginhaOptions: BDE

B is new feature of 19c so i think this is correct, even its says "always possible" that sounds tricky Connections to a recovery catalog are supported when the target database is a pluggable database (PDB) https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/19/newft/new-features.html#GUID-E2F2E0EE-D58B-4F9C-A7F8-301D9AEA34D8 And i don't know which others, i'm thinking in two of this (D, E, F) Anyone could help?

I think DEF too

klever35

I have no other observations.

DEF AB not right I think RMAN Virtual Private Catalog and RMAN Catalog are optional

_gio_Options: DEF

DEF seems more logical.

ScottLOptions: DEF

DEF correct

DEF more info about VPC: https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/19/bradv/managing-recovery-catalog.html#GUID-3C479673-B351-4801-8EED-A1AC3EA6F6BA

marpayerOptions: ADF

For me ADF According with the student guide new Features 19c it is only possibel to connect to a pluggable database as a target if RMAN VPC is used

A is wrong. No need RMAN Catalog or RMAN Virtual Private Catalog. RMAN can connect directly to PDB without issue. $ rman target SYS@FISMIGD01 Recovery Manager: Release 19.0.0.0.0 - Production on Mon Aug 30 10:22:15 2021 Version 19.6.0.0.0 target database Password: connected to target database: FISMIGD1:FISMIGD01 (DBID=2787864249) $ sqlplus "/as sysdba" SQL*Plus: Release 19.0.0.0.0 - Production on Mon Aug 30 10:22:48 2021 Version 19.6.0.0.0 SQL> show pdbs; CON_ID CON_NAME OPEN MODE RESTRICTED ---------- ------------------------------ ---------- ---------- 2 PDB$SEED READ ONLY NO 3 FISMIGD01 READ WRITE NO
