Which two are true about an RPM-based Oracle Database installation? (Choose two.)
Which two are true about an RPM-based Oracle Database installation? (Choose two.)
An RPM-based Oracle Database installation performs a software-only installation, creating only the Oracle home without creating a database instance directly. Starting with Oracle Database 18c, a single RPM can be used to install the Oracle Database Server for a single-instance as well as the Oracle Instant Client software, but it does not include the database instance creation. Therefore, B and C are the correct options.
AC correct https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/18/ladbi/about-rpm-based-oracle-database-installation.html#GUID-C2B4A806-E1E2-4B77-971B-628CFF18A488
Agreed AC is correct.
Change my mind to BC A is not correct it's an option and not part of DB installation becuase "the option to create a database with the default settings using the /etc/init.d/oracledb_ORCLCDB-18c service configuration script." https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/18/ladbi/about-rpm-based-oracle-database-installation.html#GUID-C2B4A806-E1E2-4B77-971B-628CFF18A488:~:text=the%20option%20to%20create%20a%20database%20with%20the%20default%20settings%20using%20the%20/etc/init.d/oracledb_ORCLCDB%2D18c%20service%20configuration%20script.
Rind is correct. AC C: An RPM-based installation performs a software-only Oracle Database installation and creates an Oracle home. A: The RPM-based installation process provides you with the option to create a database with the default settings using the /etc/init.d/oracledb_ORCLCDB-18c service configuration script. D: Wrong - It have dependence to download Preinstallation RPM... It's not included in RPM.. https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/18/ladbi/about-rpm-based-oracle-database-installation.html#GUID-C2B4A806-E1E2-4B77-971B-628CFF18A488
B & C A - wrong because service configuration script is not part of RPM installation (not run when install RPM)
B - not only Starting with Oracle Database 18c, you can install a single-instance Oracle Database or an Oracle Database Instant Client software using RPM packages.
They are talking about Database server Installation.. it can be only Single-instance.
B True: "Starting with Oracle Database 18c, you can install a single-instance Oracle Database..." C True: "An RPM-based installation performs a software-only Oracle Database installation and creates an Oracle home. After the Oracle home is created, you can then use Oracle Database Configuration Assistant (Oracle DBCA) to create an Oracle Database"
A: False - "create a single-instance database" D: False - "Preinstallation RPM" is another rpm E: False - You don't need ULN
I think BC https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/18/ladbi/about-rpm-based-oracle-database-installation.html#GUID-C2B4A806-E1E2-4B77-971B-628CFF18A488
AC look right
A is correct. To configure a sample Oracle Database you can execute the following service configuration script as root: /etc/init.d/oracledb_ORCLCDB-18c configure B is wrong. A Oracle Database Server = Software + Instance. The RPM doesn't do instance creation. You have to run it manually.
C, D B. Wrong. not only Oracle Database server, but Oracle Instant client can also be installed. C. Correct - It performs a software-only Oracle Database installation. D. Correct - It includes the Oracle Preinstallation RPM. E. Wrong - Linux Network (ULN) subscription is needed if you want to install in a single command. https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/18/ladbi/running-rpm-packages-to-install-oracle-database.html#GUID-BB7C11E3-D385-4A2F-9EAF-75F4F0AACF02 https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/18/ladbi/about-rpm-based-oracle-database-installation.html#GUID-C2B4A806-E1E2-4B77-971B-628CFF18A488
AC Starting with Oracle Database 18c, you can install a single-instance Oracle Database or an Oracle Database Instant Client software using RPM packages.
All is on documentation read this: https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/18/ladbi/about-rpm-based-oracle-database-installation.html#GUID-C2B4A806-E1E2-4B77-971B-628CFF18A488
B & C for me
I agree with anddeyyp
it is ok
A and C contradict each other! C: ... a software-only Oracle Database installation
