1z0-134 Exam - Question 39

You are managing a WebLogic domain that has the default built-in diagnostic module configured for each server in the domain.

You have the following requirements:

✑ You want to capture metrics that are not collected by any of the built-in diagnostic modules.

✑ You want to continue capturing the metrics that are already captured by the existing built-in module.

✑ You want your configuration to persist after the server is restarted.

What are two approaches you can apply to achieve this result? (Choose two.)

Show Answer
Correct Answer: AB

To address the requirements, two viable approaches are to clone the built-in module and add new metrics to it, or to leave the built-in module as-is and create a new module with additional metrics. The first approach ensures that both the existing and new metrics are captured while deactivating the existing module. The second approach allows the built-in module to continue capturing its metrics while the new module handles the additional metrics. Both configurations will persist after a server restart, ensuring that the newly added metrics continue to be captured alongside the existing ones. External resource descriptor modules are not suitable here because their configurations are not persisted.

According to https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/wls/WLDFC/understand_wldf_config.htm#WLDFC139 an external resource descriptor is not persisted - so answers C and D can't be correct

Opsi B dan C memang menggambarkan dua cara berbeda untuk membuat modul baru yang persisten (dengan konfigurasi di dalam config.xml vs. di file eksternal) dan menjalankannya bersama modul bawaan.
