Summary accounts can be merged after setup. Accounts Receivable, Bank, and Accounts Payable are transactional accounts that typically cannot be merged due to the complexity and detail of the transactions they track. Summary accounts, on the other hand, are designed to allow consolidation and are therefore able to be merged.
