When configuring NDMP for a tape backup on a single-node cluster, you should use a data logical interface (LIF). The exhibit shows that NDMP services are enabled on SVM1, and the appropriate LIF for SVM1 is 'data_lif1'. This LIF has the necessary status ('up/up') and network configuration (IP address and mask) for connectivity. Other LIFs listed, such as 'cluster_mgmt', 'cluster1-01_ic1', and 'cluster-01_mgmt1', are designated for cluster management and intercluster communication rather than direct tape data communication. Therefore, 'data_lif1' is the correct choice.
In the exhibit you can see "node-scope-mode" is disabled. So it has to be set on "svm-scope-mode". If you have a look at the NetApp Docs for configuring NDMP in svm-scope-mode, they only talk about "cluster management", "node-amangement" and "intercluster" Interfaces. In the exhibit we have a cluster-management, an intercluster (ic) as well as a node-management LIF ... the question is to "choose the best answer".... So everything, but not the "data_lif1" should be right, I guess.
Agree with you ;) B : best answer
I don`t undestand why is B.... it is SVM scoped....so it should be D...
Here answer is B as the exibit shows that the NDMP service is running on the SVM1
Here to the rescue: You must identify the LIFs that will be used for establishing a data connection between the data and tape resources, and for control connection between the admin SVM and the backup application. After identifying the LIFs, you must verify that firewall and failover policies are set for the LIFs, and specify the preferred interface role. cluster1::> vserver services ndmp modify -vserver cluster1 -preferred-interface-role intercluster,cluster-mgmt,node-mgmt Since intercluster is mentioned first, choose B. https://docs.netapp.com/ontap-9/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.netapp.doc.exp-ndmp%2FGUID-5F34D85A-75A3-49E5-A9BA-234C51A6EC6C.html
Answer should be D NDMP is enabled on SVM. hence we just use any data lif. the rest of the lif is either node / cluster interconnect lif.
Correct answer is B Verify that every node in the cluster has an intercluster LIF
