The AFF A800 system uses internal NVMe SSD drives for storage, but it is not possible to simply insert more than the designated slots can hold. As it already has 24 internal drives, it is more likely to require an additional expansion shelf to increase capacity. The DS460C shelf, filled with drives, is an appropriate solution as it is compatible with the AFF A800 and provides a large capacity augmentation.
