ONTAP, which is an operating system used by NetApp for data storage, includes three types of command-line interface (CLI) shells that are specifically designed for different administrative tasks. These are clustershell, systemshell, and nodeshell. Clustershell is used for managing clusters, systemshell is for accessing the operating system to conduct lower-level diagnostics and maintenance, and nodeshell is for node-specific commands within the cluster. Powershell and bashshell are not part of ONTAP's native shell options.
