The issue of the host not seeing the LUNs can be addressed by changing the zoning to use the virtual WWPNs starting with '20:'. According to best practices, such as those indicated in TR4080 Best Practices for Modern SAN, physical WWPNs (starting with 50:0a:09:8x) do not present a SCSI target service and should not be included in zone configurations on the FC fabric. Instead, virtual WWPNs (starting with 20:) should be used for zoning. Thus, zoning should be changed to use the 20:06:d0:39:ea:05:03:a3 and 20:08:d0:39:ea:05:03:a3 WWPNs.
A is answer - TR4080 Best Practices for Modern SAN Best Practice Physical WWPNs (beginning with 50:0a:09:8x) do not present a SCSI target service and should not be included in any zone configurations on the FC fabric, though they show as logged in to the fabric. Instead, use only virtual WWPNs (WWPNs starting with 20:) visible in the output of the network interface show command. Network Interfaces pane, as shown in Figure 17.
A is confirm, due to fact, you use WWPN from SVM LIF instead of physical WWPN.
A is better for security
A should be correct, not sure why you would want to remove the switches...
Sure just remove the switches, problem solved... A should be correct, I guess.
