Question 57

Click the Exhibit button.

Referring to the exhibit, you installed a new AFF A250 HA system with FC at a customer site. The customer asks how many ports can be used for the Ethernet host connections.

In this scenario, what would you tell the customer?

    Correct Answer: D

In the exhibit, both nodes of the AFF A250 HA system have Ethernet ports labeled e1a to e1d, which are 10/25Gb Ethernet ports that can be used for host connections. Each node has four such ports, leading to a total of eight Ethernet ports across both nodes. Additionally, there are e0a and e0b on each node, which are also Ethernet ports that can be used for host connections. Therefore, the total number of Ethernet ports available for host connections is 4 (e1a-e1d) + 2 (e0a, e0b) per node, resulting in 12 ports for the entire HA system.

Discussion
MasterHowOption: D

Almost right what HangLiu wrote - except e0a/e0b, thats simple 10G Ethernet Base-T. There is no need to use them for Management neither does NetApp say this is Management. If you check the Link HangLiu has postet e0a/e0b is simple Ethernet Data. So the correct answer is D = 12 Ports

scanossaOption: D

Answer is D.

whoopOption: D

Answer is D. Ports e0a/e0b are 10GBASE-T for data, ports e0c/e0d are the Cluster/HA connections, ports e1a-e1d are 10/25GbE for data, and 2a-2d are for FC

HangLiuOption: B

Should be B e0a and e0b are for management , e1a,e1b are for Intercluster connection , e2a-e2d are FC connection in this diagram ,e4a-e4d are for 10GbE / 25GbE host network switches https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-systems/a250/install-detailed-guide.html#optional-cabling-cable-configuration-dependent-options
