You want to improve the write performance of NL-SAS volumes serving data on your ONTAP. You also want to keep the performance consistent during a possible controller failover.
In this scenario, which feature do you use? (Choose the best answer.)

To improve the write performance of NL-SAS volumes on ONTAP and ensure performance consistency during a controller failover, Flash Pool is the best feature to use. Flash Pool is an SSD-based cache that supports both read and write operations and is shared across cluster nodes, providing consistent performance even in case of a failover event. Flash Cache, on the other hand, is read-only and would not improve write performance. FlexCache is designed for reducing latency in remote clusters, not for write performance or failover consistency. FabricPool is used for tiering cold data to cloud storage, which is unrelated to write performance and failover scenarios.
The answer can only be B. A: Flash Cache is read only. B: SSD cache used for read and write cache, with a pool of disks spread over two nodes in a cluster C: FlexCache is used on a remote cluster to help lower latency, not on a primary cluster, and would have nothing to do with failover. D: Fabric Pool is using cloud storage to tier off cold data. That leaves only B as a valid answer.
Correct answer is B, Flash Pool. Flash Cache is HW based (affected by a failover) and improves only reads.
B Flash Cache is volatile. Flashpool config is best as SSDs will keep Hot data in an event of failover happening.
Data is first written to cache and later to disk during CP. So I guess the answer is A
FlashCache is read-only cache. https://www.netapp.com/pdf.html?item=/media/19759-ds-2811.pdf
Agree, B https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1196912/html/GUID-B347C746-FD91-484D-8BA6-A23D7C05EABE.html
I think the answer is B. Flash Cache is a PCI-E card in the controller modules. Flash Pool is SSD's in an HDD aggregate. During failover, access to the aggregate is consistent, but not to the controller module.
I think it's B.
I agree with icase8. The answer can only be B.
