Question 1

Click the Exhibit button.

A storage administrator has an existing FAS2554 HA pair. They want to add a new FAS2620 HA pair to the cluster. The SAN protocols are licensed.

Referring to the exhibit, after adding the second HA pair, how many more nodes are available to add for future use?

    Correct Answer: A

When adding the FAS2620 HA pair to the existing FAS2554 HA pair, the cluster's node limit will be governed by the platform supporting the fewest nodes, as stated in the footnotes. The FAS2554 has a maximum configuration of 8 nodes in a SAN environment. With 2 nodes from the existing FAS2554 HA pair and 2 nodes from the new FAS2620 HA pair, a total of 4 nodes will be used. This leaves room for 4 more nodes to reach the FAS2554's maximum limit of 8 nodes.

Discussion
DontknowOption: A

Shouldn't it 4 Nodes?

anonymous515

Think you're right as it's max number on platform with least amount. Read footnote

runnerbean

Good spot :0) As you say the foot note says so.

andersonneo

I agree , should b 4 nodes. As per the Foot Note :-)

Gino_

I agree, the correct answer is B

Gino_

sorry is "A" 4 nodes

whoisthegOption: A

A. 4 2554 max nodes in SAN cluster 8, 2554 = 2, 2620 = 2 which leaves 4 nodes (2 HA pairs) to reach 8 for 2554

010Option: A

ans is A

amIreallyme63Option: B

I might be confusing myself, but I think 12 is correct. In the example everything is licensed for SAN. Wouldn't that mean 4 more SAN only nodes and 8 more NAS only nodes can be added?

runnerbeanOption: C

The correct answer is C 8 The max number of nodes is 12 with SAN protocols licensed. There will be 4 in use that then leaves a further 8 for expansion.

maryuma888

No, answer is B.. its 4 more nodes for SAN, and 8 more nodes for NAS.
