Question 52

An administrator enabled the iSCSI protocol on an SVM and created a LUN for a Windows 2016 system. After a rescan, the LUN is not visible on the host.

In this scenario, which two statements describe what the administrator must do to solve this problem? (Choose two.)

    Correct Answer: A, D

To solve the issue of the LUN not being visible on the Windows 2016 system, the administrator needs to create an initiator group (igroup), add the iSCSI IQN (iSCSI Qualified Name) of the host, and map the igroup to the LUN. This ensures the host can access the LUN via the iSCSI protocol. Additionally, the iSCSI service must be configured on the Windows 2016 system, which includes setting up the iSCSI initiator to establish a connection to the iSCSI target.

Read the question.. its saying ISCSI which means there is a IQN. WWPN is for FC..ALUA must be enabled for ISCSI see https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1307349/html/GUID-D7570D36-76FF-4923-8ECC-525AF435C2D6.html So the correct answers are A and D

Aggreed...how accurate are these questions though to the exam is my real question.

runnerbean

It can't be B as the questions says that iSCSI was configured not FC. B says WWPN which is used for FC. A and D are correct

anonymous515

Good catch....WWNN (World Wide Node Name) is used by iSCSI not WWPN

mingoradOptions: AD

On a windows ISCSI initiator must be installed ( add feature ) ; On the Storage Side ( Target ) igroup must be created and and the ISCSI Qualifed Name of the host added to it . Mapping must be done . There is only one answer and it is A and D. REF https://docs.netapp.com/ontap-9/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.netapp.doc.cdot-famg-nfs%2FGUID-8E400D78-B405-4682-8F33-143783F2D580.html
