Question 32

You have an 8-node AFF A400 ONTAP 9.8 cluster that is serving FC and iSCSI LUNs. You have three SVMs for FC and one SVM for iSCSI, each for separate VMware vSphere clusters. The VMware clusters are on separate, non-routable, networks. You are asked to set up SnapCenter software for backups of the virtual machine datastores.

What is the minimum management LIF count that is needed to satisfy this requirement?

    Correct Answer: A

Given that you have an 8-node cluster and multiple SVMs, the minimum management LIF count needed would be one per node to ensure that SnapCenter can manage and back up the virtual machine datastores across the entire cluster. Therefore, the correct answer is eight.

i tried to replicate same environment in ontap lab on demand, using only one cluster lif and as I mentioned before its working just using cluster lif, there is no need to create and configure svm management lifs
