You create SAN volumes with System Manager on a FAS solution.
In this scenario, what are three default settings for these volumes? (Choose three.)
In this scenario, the default settings for SAN volumes with System Manager on a FAS solution include the following: Volumes have inline deduplication enabled, volumes have Snapshot copies disabled, and volume snapshot reserve is set to 0. Inline deduplication is generally enabled to optimize storage efficiency. Snapshot copies are typically disabled by default on SAN volumes to prioritize performance. The snapshot reserve being set to 0 ensures no additional space is reserved for snapshots, aligning the system to better manage storage space.
ans is CDE
BCD The default setting for the volumes on All Flash FAS systems is none, otherwise the default setting is volume. The file setting is no longer supported.
you are right here is the link https://docs.netapp.com/ontap-9/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.netapp.doc.dot-cm-cmpr-920%2Fvolume__create.html
And there is no such thing as SAN volumes, the question is really on FlexVolume and ltater create SAN LUN. Default setting for FlexVolume would be answer: BCD. first point : FAS box doesnt enable inline-deduplication, only AFF does second point: either you choose volume space guarantee is set to volume or to none. If you choose other answer, that means you selecting both : which is kind of contradicting and wrong
After second read, I still think the question very missleading. choice D also wrong : default setting for volume is 5%. unless this question is on SAN Lun. rather confusing instead
The answer is CDE, scrolling down to the "Space SLO" command in the doc below, it states that the "default setting is none", hence no space guarantee will be applied by default https://docs.netapp.com/ontap-9/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.netapp.doc.dot-cm-cmpr-920%2Fvolume__create.html
