Cloud Volumes ONTAP supports the use of FlexCache volumes for caching on-premises ONTAP volumes into the cloud. FlexCache is designed for NAS (Network Attached Storage) protocols, which specifically includes NFS (Network File System) and SMB (Server Message Block). Therefore, the supported protocols in this scenario are NFS and SMB. NVMe and iSCSI are not supported with FlexCache volumes in this context.
You can only use FlexCache with NAS protocols. So SMB and NFS are correct. --> Answers B & C
B&C are correct https://www.netapp.com/pdf.html?item=/media/7336-tr4743pdf.pdf
Confirm B, C
Provision both NAS and SAN storage with NFS, CIFS and iSCSI support
NFS, CIFS,iSCSI are the correct protocols
SMB and NFS with FlexCache volumes, https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/bluexp-cloud-volumes-ontap/task-accelerate-data-access.html
Agreed, if you focus on caching then only NAS (SMB/NFS) is supported. iSCSI is supported in CVO but not with caching.
BC only NAS supported in FlexCache A FlexCache volume supports only NFSv3 protocol in ONTAP 9.5. Starting in ONTAP 9.8, a FlexCache volume also supports SMB protocol.
SMB and NFS are supported protocols for Flexcache: https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/flexcache/supported-unsupported-features-concept.html
A FlexCache volume supports only NFSv3 protocol in ONTAP 9.5. Starting in ONTAP 9.8, a FlexCache volume also supports SMB protocol. Starting with ONTAP 9.7, FlexGroup volumes are also supported as source volumes.
They are using a flexcache volume. That is only useful for NAS.
BCD are correct answers
NFS,iSCSI
