Question 36

You work as a Systems Administrator for your company. The company has a subscription to Microsoft 365. All users in your company have a Microsoft 365 E5 license.

You plan to deploy Microsoft Phone System.

You need to configure the phone system with four unique greetings. The unique greetings will be used as follows:

✑ One unique greeting will be used during office hours (Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00)

✑ One unique greeting will be used outside office hours (Monday to Friday 17:00 to 09:00)

✑ One unique greeting will be used during weekends.

One unique greeting will be used during national holidays (for example, Easter and Christmas).

You need to configure the system to meet the requirements.

What is the minimum number of auto attendants you need to configure?

    Correct Answer: B

To configure the phone system with four unique greetings for different times and events, you need a minimum of two auto attendants. This is because while one auto attendant can handle greetings for office hours, outside office hours, and holidays, a separate unique greeting for weekends would require an additional auto attendant. The first auto attendant can handle office hours and outside office hours (including weekends as part of off-hours), and holidays can be routed within its settings, but to have a separate unique greeting for weekends, a second auto attendant is necessary. Therefore, the minimum number required is two.

You can't do 4 unique greetings on 1 IVR. You can do 3. In hours, out of hours and Holidays. You would need a second IVR for a unique weekend greeting. This should be B

TinaTina

All 4 greetings are made during setup for AA.1 AA is correct

Eagle09

Not all 4 are Unique. You could use the same announcement for off-hours and weekends, but you cannot specify a separate announcement. So AA is not correct.

syougun200x

I think youre right. Was about to get caught thanks.

syougun200x

After seeing Jonaburns comment, am sure that only 1 AA will do.

Harshul

Agreed!

joelfrancisco

not anymore. you can do all in just one AA

dmowOption: B

I think that the answer is B. The AA can have greetings for on-hours, off hours, and holidays, bit I'm not sure weekends can be configured as separate off-hours times. Check out the video on the page around the 5 minute mark: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/create-a-phone-system-auto-attendant

There is setting for Saturday & Sunday in off business hours

jonaburnsOption: A

1 is enough, I just configured it in lab. You can have multiple Holiday days inside a Holiday so you can put the 106 or so Saturday and Sundays in the "weekend" holiday and assign that a unique greeting. Having said that, I doubt that is what Microsoft would want you to do. With 2 you can check for weekend 1st, then redirect to a second AA to do the 3 other requirements. Has anyone seen this question on a test? It seems like one thy would have removed after many disputes.

need 2 with 1 its not possible

unbelievableOption: A

One auto attendant would be configured, and you would use the call routing options within that auto attendant to route calls to different greetings based on the time of the call. This can be achieved by setting up different call routing schedules. These schedules can be configured to match the office hours, outside office hours, weekends, and national holidays and route the calls to different greetings. You can also use the option of Holiday routing, where you can configure a specific greeting during national holidays. By using this approach, you only need to configure one auto attendant, but still meet the requirement for four unique greetings.

xfaqtorOption: A

A is the correct answer

JaszinhoOption: B

You need 2. If it wasn't unique announcement requested by the question then 1 would have been sufficient. Single AA can't have the weekend announcement separate bcz it consider it as after working hours.

EunicePOption: A

1 AA is correct. Business hours can be set with breaks in time during the day, and all of the hours that aren't set as business hours are considered after-hours. If you have business hours set up, you also need to set up a call flow for after business hours: greetings after hours. Lastly, on the same AA, you could setup Holiday. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/microsoftteams/create-a-phone-system-auto-attendant?tabs=after-hours#step-3-set-up-call-flow-for-after-hours-optional

francescocOption: A

A is correct. You can create the Auto attendant from Teams Admin Center and you can set Business Hours and Holiday Call Settings in the same Auto attendant. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/create-a-phone-system-auto-attendant?tabs=general-info

It's impossible to set different greeting message to weekend with one policy

loeloe5Option: B

To meet the specified requirements, you’ll need two auto attendants. Let me explain why: Office Hours Greeting: You can configure one auto attendant to handle calls during office hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00). This auto attendant will play the appropriate greeting and route calls accordingly. Outside Office Hours, Weekends, and Holidays Greeting: For the remaining scenarios (outside office hours, weekends, and national holidays), you can set up a second auto attendant. This way, you’ll have a total of two unique greetings—one for office hours and another for non-office hours. Remember that auto attendants allow callers to navigate a menu system and direct their calls to the right department, person, or other destinations within your organization1. Additionally, each auto attendant can have up to 15 authorized users2. So, the correct answer is B. 2 auto attendants.
