Question 46

You work as a Systems Administrator for your company. The company has recently purchased a subscription to Microsoft 365.

All users in your company have a Microsoft 365 E3 license.

You are in the process of configuring Microsoft Teams.

A company security policy states that users must not be able to add apps to Microsoft Teams.

You need to configure Microsoft Teams to meet the security requirement.

What should you configure?

    Correct Answer: A

To prevent users from adding apps to Microsoft Teams, you should configure the global app permission policy. App permission policies control the availability of apps within Teams for users in your organization. By modifying the global app permission policy, you can block users from installing new apps, thereby adhering to the company's security policy.

Discussion
Stove1Option: A

The answer should be A "The global app permission policy". App Setup policies allow you to control what apps are pinned, but not prevent users from adding other apps

Agreed

Agreed the answer is A

Arunselva06

Yes, I verified and the answer is A

Gu_cio

TAC->Teams apps -> Permision policies -> edit Global -> Microsoft apps (change to Bloc all apps)

xqizztOption: A

I think the correct answer should be A - The global app permission policy. "App permission policies control what apps you want to make available to Teams users in your organization" The app setup policy is used to pin/pre-install an app for users, but not really to limit what they can install. "App setup policies control how apps are made available to a user with the Teams app"

I agree with this

Cloudz_1Option: D

"User must not be able to add apps to Microsoft Teams". To achieve this you need to go to TAC -> Setup policies -> turn Upload custom apps off. And booooom, user's won't be able to upload custom apps to Teams :) Answer is D.

spektrum1988Option: A

Old question. The answer was probably A, but App Permission Policies don't exist anymore. At the moment these settings have been moved to Manage Apps > Org-wide app settings

JoskeVrOption: D

This is under Setup policies. Permission Policies have been moved to Manage Apps. To block a user from adding custom app go to Teams Apps -> Setup Policies -> Upload Custom apps.

AlltheMSCertsOption: A

Confirmed in my tenant.

JagomsahOption: D

Today, the right one is via Setup Policy, “…… Admin pins always take precedence. If the Setup Policy >> Global (Org-Wide default) >> User Pinning option is turned on, then apps pinned by users display below the apps pinned by admins. If User pinning option is turned off, then users lose existing pins and only the apps pinned by admins are available in the app bar” Note that Permission Policies refer to Apps published or not, but not to be added or removed from the bar.

stipeOption: D

the answer should be D. "A company security policy states that users must not be able to add apps to Microsoft Teams" This part "not be able to ADD apps" is same as this "not be able to UPLOAD apps" in my humble opinion. They probably put ADD to make confusion. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/app-policies

Response A

dusting00Option: A

Definitely A

chateneirOption: A

Should be A. Go to TAC >Teams Apps > Permission Policies this is much agreeable

VillalennyOption: A

robconOption: A

Still Agreed. A is the answer

francescocOption: D

App setup policies control how apps are made available to a user with the Teams app. Use the Global (Org-wide default) policy and customize it or create custom policies and assign them to a set of users. Learn more
