Note: This question is part of a series of questions that present the same scenario. Each question in the series contains a unique solution that might meet the stated goals. Some question sets might have more than one correct solution, while others might not have a correct solution.

After you answer a question in this section, you will NOT be able to return to it. As a result, these questions will not appear in the review screen.

You have five reports and two dashboards in a workspace.

You need to grant all organizational users read access to one dashboard and three reports.

Solution: You publish an app to the entire organization.

Does this meet the goal?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: A

Publishing an app to the entire organization allows you to select specific content to include in the app, such as the desired dashboard and reports. This way, all organizational users will have read access to the selected dashboard and three reports, meeting the goal of granting access to the specific items.

I would say YES, because I understand that we can add to the app the desired reports/dashboard. And for the next question which given solution is "You enable included in app for all assets." is NO

if we publish the app with just the needed dashboard and reports to the entire organization then the answer should be YES, but the question does not say anything about the app must contain all the objects or the selected ones.

the answer is A..Yes When you publish an app in Power BI, you can select the specific content you want to include in the app, such as reports and dashboards, and specify the access levels for each item. You can also choose to make the app available to specific users or groups, or publish it to the entire organization. If you publish an app to the entire organization, all users in your organization would have access to the app and its included content, as long as they have a Power BI license. You can set the appropriate access level for each item in the app, such as read-only access for the selected dashboard and reports, to ensure that users only have access to the content they need. Therefore, publishing an app to the entire organization with the appropriate access levels for the dashboard and reports would meet the goal of granting all organizational users read access to one dashboard and three reports. No confusion, no need to discuss further

These multi-part case questions allegedly only have one correct answer, and it seems the correct answer for this one is the active directory group, meaning all other answers should be, "No," including this one.

It is specifically stated otherwise in the question itself: "Some question sets might have more than one correct solution, while others might not have a correct solution." So there can be multiple correct answers or no correct answers within these question series. I would say Yes for this question.

I hate questions like this. It's always unclear whether the answer is meant to be partially getting to the solution or whether it needs to be the whole solution step by step. This surely is just part of the solution, creating the app and sharing it to the organization is just part of it, you still need to choose the 1 dashboard and 3 reports etc etc.

Yes. By selectively including only these items in the app, you can grant read access to all users specifically for the intended reports and dashboard.

We should assume the app would only contain content we want to share nothing else... so you would be always wondering wether your assumption is right or not as solution would depends on it

You can select specific dashboards and reports to include in the app. You can share the app with all organizational users (entire organization) or specific groups/users. Users with access to the app can view the included content (dashboard and reports) in read-only mode.

If the users you are granting access to do not all have Power BI Pro licenses, then publishing an app to the entire organization will only work if the workspace where the reports and dashboards reside is backed by a Power BI Premium capacity (P1 or higher), Fabric capacity, or if the content is explicitly shared with each user individually (which contradicts the goal of granting access to "all organizational users" efficiently).
