Answer is correct! 1. Yes. You already use and pay ExpressRoute. They just ask if inbound data is free of charge, which it is. 2. No. Outbound data is not free of charge. 3. Yes. Within same region is free.
No the question ask within the same azure region. Which is across az
Starting 2022? Next year, nothing to worry about until then
It might have been free 7 month ago, it is not free today Inter Region Intra-continental Data Transfer Price Between regions within North America Between regions within Europe $0.02 per GB https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/
In Azure, "inter-region transfer data" refers to data being moved or replicated between different Azure regions, which are geographically distinct locations, and this data transfer incurs costs. yny
The document now states "This will not start until July 1 2023" Data transfer between Availability Zones(Egress and Ingress) US$0.01 per GB So Question 3 is still Yes https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/
ChatGPT confirms, keyword is "always". "Is often free or at a very low cost"
It should have become 'no' now. @Examtopics, could you verify this and update if necessary? Thanks.

At my exam I got over 9000%. Thanks to examtopics.com. In this site I clearly learned how to classify trains and trucks, even the busses and cars. On exam it was a bit tricky to recognize bicycles and boats, but anyway I passed. There is one important note: please review images CAREFULLY, there sometimes motorbuses looks similar to trains. Also, at certification center, before the exam, you need to prove that you are not a robot. I was a little nervous because I'm a robot, but they didn't suspect anything, haha. Good luck to all of you!
Passed with a score of 920. A lot of items here did help me review in my exam. Good luck everyone!!
Just passed with 88% - there were a LOT of questions not within this dump. Particularly I would review Storage Access Tiers (lots of question about hot/cool/archive - eg. which are able to be configured on the storage level), Consumption-based plans, Reserved Instances, Opex/Capex (eg. service provider bills are which), premium blob storage (only supports ZRS redundancy), vertical/horizontal scaling.
I passed exam (May 2021) :) I had the 2nd question but worded a little differently. When using ExpressRoute, outbound data traffic from Azure to an on-prem network is free. y/n
how's about the answer for that question?
it's a "no" - from azure to on-prem is charged.
it's a "no" - from azure to on-prem is charged.
Well my fellow Azure-ites, I did the exam today and passed. This forum and questions will definitely help alot. I'm out folks, time for AZ-104!!
Ready for my exam tomorrow!
Hope you pass the exam!
I'm just wondering if we're training an AI by identifying everything
Tomorrow is my exam, wish me luck!
Ultima Pregunta, definitivamente no soy un robot. Mi examen es el 11/07/2021, Buena suerte a todos.

Damn I am tired.. and most certainly not a robot
Just finished the az-900, got 955 and woud like to thanks examtopics and all community here, for providing good base and good discussions about interesting topics. 1. I did all Microsoft program for AZ-900, belive-me, it's extremally important to give you a good base. 2. Did all questions more than two times, day by day studing, each day until I could go. It wasn't a dump, but the way to check if I really understood discussions and got the core concepts. Believe me guys, you don't have to walk around to other places to find good questions base and community, about 95% of the test is here, of course there are some new questions but, if you go through the community discutions, you will got is, please read all discussions if possible.
3. No - Starting from July 1, 2022, Data transfer billing between Virtual machines across availability zones will begin.

YNN latest updates charges outside of an availability zone
Third one should be "No" . Data traffic between within the same AZ is free. However, traffic between AZ's in the same region is NOT free: "3. Data Transfer between Azure Availability Zones. Azure data transfer within the same availability zone is free of charge, while data transfer between two different availability zones now incurs a cost of $0.01 per GB." https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/
Yes, No, Yes For point 3, it's in the FAQs section: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/ "Is data transfer between Azure services located within the same region charged?" - "No. For example, an Azure SQL database in the same region will not have any additional data transfer costs."
From this weblink, Question 3 will be from July 2021 with answer NO: *Starting from July 1, 2021, Data transfer billing between Virtual machines across availability zones will begin. Please see FAQ for additional details.
3 = Yes, Availability Zone has the region. Inter Region is something else which cost money. (1 july 2021 MS will chance it and they answer should be NO, since then it will cost money)

doubted questions ?
3. is still yes Starting from July 1, 2023, Data transfer billing between Virtual machines across availability zones will begin(Egress and Ingress). https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/
1. Yes. inbound data is free 2. No. Outbound data is not free 3. Yes. Within same region is free.
Although outbound traffic is always charged , the assumption here is that the question is referring to only traffic within the infrastructure within a region, not talking about any traffic into (inbound) our out of (outbound) the infrastructure, so we have to say Y for question 3
1.No, ExpressRoute needs to be paid 2.No 3.No,inter-region has fees
Y, Inbound data is for free https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/expressroute/ N, N, As mentioned: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/
Ans is YNY. The link you post literally says "No. For example, an Azure SQL database in the same region will not have any additional data transfer costs." when asked "Is data transfer between Azure services located within the same region charged?"
1. N, ExpressRoute is not a free service 2. N, Outbound transfer is always charged 3. Y, No fees between same region
Inter-region has fees now
number 3 says traffic for SERVICES between the same region : No. For example, an Azure SQL database in the same region will not have any additional data transfer costs.
YES - https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/expressroute/ NO - Outbound traffic charged YES - https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/
Box 3 answer is Yes. Data transfer between Azure services located within the same region is always free. But VNET Peering within the same region is not free! https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/virtual-network/

Q3: free, no charge No. For example, an Azure SQL database in the same region will not have any additional data transfer costs. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/
The question is clear, option 3: "Data traffic ... SAME region" Today is free. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/ In several months time will be a pay service.
YYN it looks like as of August 8, 2023. The bandwidth pricing for azure resources in the same region now has an associated cost of 0.01 USD per GB (ingress and egress) https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/
From microsoft web site > FAQ https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/#:~:text=Is%20data%20transfer%20between%20Azure,any%20additional%20data%20transfer%20costs.
