DP-201 Exam - Question 143

A company is evaluating data storage solutions.

You need to recommend a data storage solution that meets the following requirements:

✑ Minimize costs for storing blob objects.

✑ Optimize access for data that is infrequently accessed.

✑ Data must be stored for at least 30 days.

✑ Data availability must be at least 99 percent.

What should you recommend?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: B

The Cold (Cool) storage tier is designed for data that is infrequently accessed and has a lower storage cost compared to the Hot tier. This tier is suitable for data that needs to be stored for a minimum of 30 days and is accessed less frequently. It also meets the requirement of a minimum of 99 percent data availability. Therefore, Cold storage is the best option for minimizing costs for storing blob objects that are infrequently accessed while ensuring the required data availability and storage duration.

It should be 'Cool', not 'Cold' ;) https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/blobs/storage-blob-storage-tiers
